This is it. The quintessential Madeira experience, a journey that unveils the island's full splendor in a single breathtaking walk.

Towering rock formations rise skyward like ancient sentinels sculpted by time itself, standing as silent witnesses to the island's rich geological history. Throughout the trail, panoramic views unfold in every direction, each more awe-inspiring than the last one. The landscape is adomed with a remarkable array of unique endemic flora, thriving in this untouched paradise. In springtime, nature's artistry is on full display as these plants burst into a kaleidoscope of colors. Their delicate blossoms painting the mountain side in vibrant hues. As you approach Pico Ruivo, the footpath leads through the oldest heather forest in existence - a mystical realm where ancient trees, hundreds of years old continue to flourish. These very trees stood long before João Gonçalves Zarco first set foot on the island. Their gnarled branches whispering tales of centuries past. At last you arrive at Pico Ruivo - the hihest peak in Madeira island. Here at the summit, the world seems to stretch endlessly before you. The views are nothing short of extraordinary and as the saying goes "On a clear day, you can see forever"

An experience of grandeur, where the majesty of Madeira's is revelead in all its untamed beauty. A journey not to be missed.

Please note that the footpath is not suitable for those who suffer from vertigo or have fear of heights.
